The International Pension Workshop of Netspar (Network for Studies on Pensions, Ageing and Retirement) will be organized this year jointly with CeRP, and will be held at the Collegio Carlo Alberto on June 16-17.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Deadline to submit paper March 31, 2011

We invite contributions from all areas of Netspar’s research program. Netspar – Network for Pensions, Aging and Retirement – stimulates innovative scientific research on all aspects of the social sciences related to ageing and retirement. Topics of interest are, among others,

· Macroeconomic aspects of ageing and retirement

· Life cycle saving and investment behavior

· Long term financial decision making of individuals

· Retirement planning and health

· Financial and investment decisions of pension funds and financial institutions

This Pension Workshop is jointly organized by a Netspar team and Elsa Fornero of CeRP.

David Laibson, Harvard University

Annamaria Lusardi, Dartmouth College and George Washington University

Marco Pagano, University of Naples

Ignazio Visco, Bank of Italy

Interested in participation

Researchers interested in presenting a paper are requested to submit a complete paper to info@netspar.nl before March 31, 2011. Researchers interested in discussing a paper are strongly encouraged to inform info@netspar.nl by mid-April at the latest.

Young researchers (postdocs and PhD students) are particularly invited to present their work. Netspar has made funding available that covers accommodation (up to three nights) and travel expenses (economy based) for all speakers and discussants.

Participants are encouraged to stay for the full two days of the workshop.
