From 1999 to 2017 CeRP was housed in the former “Real Collegio Carlo Alberto”, in the old part of Moncalieri, on the outskirts of Turin. Founded by King Carlo Alberto and run by the religious order of Barnabites, this historical building was a Royal College until 1998, covering all grades up until the secondary school diploma.

In 2016 the management of the building was taken over by the Collegio Carlo Alberto, a Foundation set up to foster research and teaching in economics, finance and political science. Since 2006 CeRP is a research unit of the Collegio Carlo Alberto.

In September 2017 the Collegio Carlo Alberto moved to a new seat in downtown Turin.
