Elsa Fornero is one of members of the Advisory Group of the initiative, meant to foster debate on the several policy challenges faced by the European Union
The New Pact for Europe project was launched by the King Baudouin Foundation (Belgium) and the Bertelsmann Stiftung (Germany) and is supported by a large transnational consortium of institutions.
Launched in 2013, the project aims at raising and coordinating discussion about how the European Union and its member states can actively react to the major current policy challenges and crises.
The partners operate through National Reflection Groups in ten EU countries (Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Slovakia) as well as through transnational exchanges between these groups.
The project output should be a series of proposals and tools reinforcing the capacity of the European countries to deal with the above challenges, and preventing new crises to arise in the future.
